But I am currently working on a new layout thanks to an amazing template! It won’t be this pink and girlish by the time I’m done with it, but I think I have most of the kinks and things worked out, so here’s to a total revamp by this weekend! I’ll also have an update of the past five months or so then too!

I moved. I moved across country, to be exact; from Bay Bridge (San Francisco) to Bay Bridge (Maryland). I’m currently living in Delaware as I had decided that a move would be good for my mental health (though I’m having some doubts) and my financial health. So far though, it’s been going well. My job transfered and I started working there this past Sunday, and I do have my car so I’m not feeling as though I’m trapped in a room/house/camper trailer with no means by which to escape.

I am ready for new. It’s a little sad to have left my friends and my familiarities but I am ready for something new, ready to face the unknown. It was so dull and repetitive to know exactly how my days were going to be and what times everything was going to happen, but now I’m facing an empty, unknown road. And to quote La Roux, this time, baby, I’ll be bulletproof.

I’ve spent a lot of time playing Farmville and Treasure Isle (guilty pleasures, whoops) instead of being as productive as I would like. It’s just difficult for me to truly concentrate on anything I do with people watching over my shoulder as I’ve lived without such intrusions for years. It’s getting somewhat better for me, but not by much. I’ve also finally started playing Pokemon SoulSilver more, started playing Animal Crossing again (after not having played that game for over a year), and now I actually need to charge my DS again. I used to only charge it once every six months or so, but now that I’ve been playing it, I have been needing to charge it about once a week!

I’ve also been reading more, which is good considering I never really did much reading while I was living in my previous place. I have the books I’ve read written down elsewhere and will be updating my past reads list here soon!

In the world of web, though, I’ve started working on and applying for fanlistings again! I finished the one for the Forsaken race from World of Warcraft, see link/banner above! I need to update the layouts to my other fanlistings (Drake Bell, Napoleon Dynamite, FLCL, Drake Bell: Telegraph) because those are so old and dumb to me now that I need something new and snazzy (not to mention that it would give me something to do whilst otherwise mindlessly surfing the web) and finish up the one for The National (who have become my all-time favorite band!)!!

I’ve stumbled across booksofthecentury.com and am aiming to make a booklist/goal to read at least two books from each decade. AT LEAST. Granted, I feel like I’ve read a good portion of them anyway, and I hardly have a clue to what about three quarters of these books are about/who they’re written by. It just goes to show how very few titles really do stand the test of time, no matter how popular they were in their current day!

Anyway, I have recently finished three books that I have, for the most part, enjoyed immensely. They are: Michael Chabon’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay (his use of vocabulary, syntax, and language crackle and spark), James Wood’s How Fiction Works (incredible insight to the inner workings of fiction writing), and Richard Dawkins’ The God Delusion (eye-opening, thought-provoking, witty, though just as much on an Athiest stance as extremist Fundamentals). I’m trying to finish up those half-read books before I move!

Aside from migrating to Northrend on my Mage, nothing else is really happening other than the usual work stuff!

Yikes! It’s been a while since I posted! I need to get better about it, that’s for sure. Anyway, my birthday was fun! Actually more fun than the previous two birthdays I’ve had and I think it’s because I had actual friends to go hang out with instead of a boyfriend who just sort of half-assed everything. Whoops. Kimmie, Caitlyn, Jeff (Caitlyn’s boyfriend), and I went out to Chili’s for dinner and margaritas, then progressed to ice cream and my favorite used bookstore! I seriously spend about $20 each time I go in there, haha. That visit I found some good deals that I couldn’t really pass up. I got Michael Chabon’s The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, Richard Powers’ Plowing the Dark and The Time of Our Singing, and Jostein Gaarder’s Sophie’s World. All of them were recommended by a good friend of mine! I’m currently reading The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay and I love love love Chabon’s style and vocabulary.

In the past month, I’ve leveled up my mage (Nasdaq) from the 40s to 61 (as of tonight)! And yes, I did go through with my getting to work on time every day for a week to get my Celestial Steed! But I’ve also leveled up his tailoring to get the magic carpet mount (and yes, that is the only reason I chose tailoring as one of his professions). I joined a really awesome guild though (on my other characters, I’ve never really been in guild guilds, but just have had them in a vanity/bank guild) and everybody’s seemed nice! I can’t wait until I hit 80 so I can start raiding more… or do I want to raid more, that’s the question. I spend too much time on it as it is!

I am going to tweak some things on the site a little bit and then probably head off to bed. Thank god it’s Friday!

It’s odd blogging for a “public” audience again…

I’ve got the comments page looking a little bit better. I think it’ll have to do for now, even though I don’t really want that tiny text detailing more info about the post than I think is necessary, but oh well! The footer/sidebar shows up now and that’s all I was really having issues with last time. I’ve also made it so that when you visit the splash page (second-breakfast.net), you can click on the middle Pokeball to get you right to the blog! So… I guess this is the “official” opening of it all again!

So, let’s face it. For the most part, especially on my days off, I feel like Snorlax. I don’t want to move, I don’t want to wake up, I just want to sleep all day long. But I’ve made a little deal with myself. If I am on time to work and bright and chipper and not all >:o blarrrgh, I get a present! So far, I’ve decided on the Celestial Steed newly available from World of Warcraft:

But otherwise, it could just be a stack of books from Half Price Books! Or maybe a DVD set or something. But it’s motivated me so far and I was up and ready to go on time today!

It’s my birthday in two days! I’ll be 23 (sidebar text is pre-updated because I’ll probably forget/be lazy)!
